NORTH FERRISBURGH - Gwendolyn L. (Langlois) Rossetti, 88, of North Ferrisburgh, passed away peacefully, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on April 8, 2013. Gwendolyn was born on March 16, 1925, in Glenns Falls, N.Y., the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Ashley) Langlois. Gwen served our country as a WAC inWWII. After the war, Gwendolyn and Arthur were married on Oct. 4, 1947. They raised their family in different areas of Vermont, settling in North Ferrisburg in 1968. As an avid reader, Gwen loved her 25 years at Charlotte Central School in the reading room, teaching the joys of reading to her students. Through her professional and personal relationships, Gwen touched the lives of so many. All who knew her will remember her as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, dog lover, and devout member of the Catholic church. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Arthur; her daughter, Deborah; and grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, Arthur, Lisa, Eric, Mark, Larissa, and Nichole; one great-grandchild, Tayrn; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sons, Arthur "Butch" and Mark Rossetti. A Catholic service will be held on April 11, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Vergennes.
