BURLINGTON - Cindy Lee (Irish) Hebert passed away on May 2, 2013. Cindy was born on July 10, 1955, to Leslie F. Irish Jr. and Josephine A. (Larocque) Irish. She attended Burlington and Winooski schools. She was employed by the City of Burlington as a crossing guard for 13 years, where she enjoyed the many children she got to know. She was also employed at the Mobil Short Stop on North Avenue. She was happiest there, waiting on her customers and chatting with them at the deli. On June 20, 1976, she married the love of her life, John R. Hebert Sr. They brought up three beautiful children that Cindy loved dearly. She leaves behind her beloved husband, John R. Hebert Sr.; two daughters, Amy Lynn Hebert, and Melissa Ann (Hebert) Burt and husband, Mike, of Burlington; son, John R. Hebert II and wife, Sarah, of South Burlington; eight grandchildren, Hayley, Marquise, Michael, Alicia, Mikayla, Aiden, Devin, and Layna, they were the twinkle in Nana's eyes and loved very much; parents, Leslie and Josephine Irish of Burlington; sister, Ann Pulver and husband, Jon; sister-in-law, Robin Irish of Plainfield, Conn.; brother, Bruce Irish and wife, JoAnn, of North Carolina; sister, Lena Poro of Hyde Park; dear sisterin-law and best friend, Cindy Lou Hebert and nephew, Evan; special niece, Beth Hall; sisters-inlaw, Heidi Chandler and husband, Wayne, of Jeffersonville, and Stacy Hebert of Winooski; brothers-in-law, Steve Hebert of Colchester, and David Hebert, Dave Wallace of Milton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends that she loved so much. She was predeceased by her dear brother, Daniel Irish; mother- and fatherin-law, Betty and Hector Hebert; sisters-in-law, Judy Wallace, and Jane Hebert; and brother-inlaw, Danny Childs. Special thanks to Dr. Nunnink and his staff at the VT Cancer Center. There will be a memorial service held on May 18, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 610 Main St., Colchester, VT 05446.
