BURLINGTON - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Christina Marie Rossetti, 29, a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She passed away peacefully on June 23, 2013, in Fletcher Allen Health Care ICU with family at her side. Christina was born on June 18, 1984, in Burlington, the daughter of Joseph Rossetti and Diana Russell Johnson. She graduated with the Class of 2002 at Burlington High School, where she excelled in basketball, soccer and softball. Christina had a competitive nature and the ability to play any sport or game. She will be remembered for her energetic spirit, unique personality, love of music, and her creative style for rhyming lyrics and poetry. We will miss her bright smile and incredible hugs. She worked as a cook at several area restaurants, most recently, Friendly's in Williston. She was predeceased by grandparents, Armand and Shirley Rossetti; and grandmother, Carol Myers. She is survived by her father, Joseph Rossetti and stepmother, Lynne Bisaillon; mother, Diana Russell Johnson and stepfather, Robert Johnson; brother, Cory Rossetti and wife, Elizabeth; niece, Leila; stepbrother, Aaron Johnson; and stepgrandparents, Norman and Joan Bisaillon, and Colleen Johnson. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, many special friends who knew her as "Zetti;" and her beloved pets, Karma and Gucci.
