BURLINGTON -- Marc Edouard Gosselin, 52, of Burlington, died peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, in the Vermont Respite House in Williston, after a short battle with cancer.
Marc, the son of the late Mathias and Blandine (Chaput) Gosselin, was born on Jan. 6, 1962, in Newport, and spent his childhood years on the family dairy farm in Barton. He graduated from Lake Region Union High School in 1980, and from Johnson State College in 1986. Marc was a contemplative soul with a gentle spirit who loved and marveled at nature. His family has deep and fond memories of time spent with him while growing up and later in his adult years. He enjoyed music and took a special delight in seeing his nieces and nephew grow up.
Survivors include his brothers, Jacques (Marisa) of South Burlington, Luc (Theresa) of East Amherst, N.Y., and Pierre (Doris) of Quakenbruck, Germany; sisters, Joanne Winter (Richard Codling) of South Burlington, and Christine (David) Lazicki of Underhill; nephew, Max of Germany; and nieces, Megan Pelchat of Colchester, Erin Galinas of Philadelphia, Pa., Anna Gosselin of Germany, and Celine and Solange Gosselin of East Amherst, N.Y.
There will be no visiting hours. Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the St. John Vianney Church on Hinesburg Road in South Burlington, followed by a reception and luncheon at the church hall. Online condolences may be made at www.gregorycremation.com.
