ESSEX JUNCTION -- Edith K. Feeley passed away peacefully on May 3, 2014, in Fletcher Allen Health Care.
Edith was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Virginia, the daughter of Robert Franklin Knight and Delious (Burnett) Knight. She graduated from Burlington High School, and then worked at the Howard Bank before moving on to work at IBM. Edith married James F. Feeley, who predeceased her. They spent many years enjoying Lake Champlain and Shadow Lake. She especially enjoyed her cats, Sweet Pea and Maple.
Survivors include her sisters and brother, Lena "Penny" Knight, Lenora Bezio, and Roy Knight; nieces and nephews, Michael Lunderville, Paula Ducharme, Allen Feeley, Susan Horan, Linda Guthrie, Ann Suja, Heather Sanford, and Brian Bixby; and sister-in-law, Jacki (Feeley) Bixby. Edith also leaves a very special friend, Shirley Irish.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister and brothers, Martha Corbosiero, Harry Knight, Robert Knight, and Billy Knight.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Colchester. Interment will be in the Memorial Garden at the church following the service. Arrangements are in care of Stephen C. Gregory and Son, www.gregorycremation.com.
