SHELBURNE -- Edward Coleman, 89, a lifelong resident of Shelburne, passed away peacefully on Jan. 31, 2015. Tut, as he was better known, was born on Aug. 25, 1925, to Wallace and Alice (Burbo) Coleman.
Tut spent two years serving his country in the Navy. After returning home, because of his love for woodworking, he became a master carpenter. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time with family and friends - reminiscing about his life experiences.
Tut is survived by his three children, Barry Gadhue, Julie Welch, and Lee Coleman and his wife, Wendy; loving grandchildren, Michele, Sarah, Kelly, Angela, and Rachel; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tut was predeceased by his wife, Janice (Doyle); grandson, Kyle Gadhue; and seven brothers and sisters.
Calling hours will be Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church on Church Street in Shelburne. Funeral services will also be held at the United Methodist Church on Feb. 6, 2015, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the Eagles in South Burlington. Arrangements are being made through Stephen C. Gregory & Son Cremation Services.
