Shelburne- Sue, as she was known by everyone, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 4th at UVM Medical Center after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. She was 62
Sue was born Feb. 13, 1952 in Burlington, the daughter of Charles and Margaret Adams. She attended school in Burlington.
Sue was married to Roderick Fisher Sr. of Shelburne, where they operated Shelburne Lawnmower Repair for many years. Rod (Bub) predeceased her in 2011.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, working outdoors and most of all, baking for and spending time with her family. Sue especially loved spending time with Abby, Hannah and Holden, who found her caring and helpful. Sue was known for her strong opinions, always willing to share in regards to local and U.S. politics, CSPAN viewer ship will certainly suffer
Sue is survived by her children, Rod and wife Paula of Milton , and grandson Casey Groff, and Shawn, wife Tracy and granddaughter, Abagail of Milton, sister Laurie Poquette, husband Darren and children Hannah and Holden of Essex Junction, brother Patrick Adams and wife Judy of St. Albans and mother Margaret Adams of Colchester.
As Sue wished, there will be no calling hours or services. She will be buried with her beloved husband, Rod in Shelburne at a later date.Arrangements by Stephen C. Gregory & Son Cremation Services.
