COLCHESTER- Our Dad passed peacefully at his home on Monday, April 13, 2015.
Dave was born on December 2, 1942 at Fanny Allen Hospital in Winooski, VT. Dave served in the Air National Guard, he was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. All of his life, he was always working on a special project, from his younger years in his family's basement through his later years on the family farm. He loved to build things, take them apart, learn how they worked. He was an inventor is so many ways. Throughout his working career he was a self-made business owner. A true entrepreneur, and very respected in his community, he had many strong, deep-rooted relationships. He prided himself on his commitment and honesty secured by a firm handshake, a trait that he proudly shared with his Father and Father-in-Law, and passed on to his son. A loving father, grandpa, husband, son and brother, he will be deeply missed but we take comfort knowing that his legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren.
Dave was predeceased by his beloved wife, partner and best friend, Brenda Scribner DeForge, his father, Leo DeForge, his mother, Audrey LaDue DeForge and his father-in-law, Charles Scribner.
