ESSEX -- Amy N. White, born on Nov. 16, 1926, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015. She was 88 years old.
For many years, Amy lived in her beautiful home on the Pleasant Valley Road in Pleasant Valley, Vt., with her furry animal friends and her well-tended garden. She enjoyed skiing, doing cross-stitch, sewing and listening to classical music. Amy was a wonderful mother and friend. She loved entertaining family and friends in her home. She was known as a highly intelligent, proud and caring woman. Amy worked for many years as an Occupational Therapist through Franklin and Grand Isle Mental Health. She was well-loved and respected by all who knew her in the work place.
Amy was preceded in death by her father, Kay (Weiss) White; mother, Ella A. (Nudelman) White; and sister, Vera White, all originally from Queens, N.Y. She is survived by one daughter, Ella (White) Michard; granddaughters, Sharon Michard and Christy Michard; and great-grandchildren.
Amy's care is entrusted to the Stephen C. Gregory & Son Cremation Service in South Burlington. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local Humane Society in memory of Amy N. White.
