Jennifer "Jenn" L. Belter, 37, with her husband and other close family members at her side, went home to the Lord on August 8, 2015, after a spirited battle with complications from Cystic Fibrosis. Jenn was born in St. Albans, VT. on June 2, 1978, the beloved daughter of Richard and Rae (Dunham) Laitres. Jenn was a 1996 graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans and a 2001 graduate of Trinity College in Burlington, VT. She was a twelve-year employee of the Fletcher Allen Hospital, her most recent position being that of professional medical coder.
On October 23, 2004, in St. Mary's Church in St. Albans, Jenn married the love of her life, David Todd Belter. They then settled into life on the Belter family dairy farm in South Burlington, VT. Jenn loved being involved in farming and took great pride in helping in every way possible. In 2011 Todd and Jenn celebrated the arrival of their son John, who often refers to Jenn as the "best Mom ever".
Jenn lived a life full of joy and fun. She loved spending time with her family, working in her gardens, and being with her animals.
In addition to her husband Todd, and son John, Jenn is survived by her parents, Richard and Rae Laitres of St.Albans; her brother John Laitres and his wife Danielle and their children Elijah, Josiah and Micah of Stuart, FL; her cousin ("sister") Lori Linn and her husband Joe and their children Kaiya, Carter, Taylor and Emiy, who will miss their "Aunt Jenny" tremendously; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Joyce Belter of So. Burlington; her sisters-in-law Jennifer Formichella and her son Jackson of Asheville, NC; Sarah Colandra and her husband Anthony and their children Brayden, Cole and Hadley of Charlotte, NC; her aunts and uncles, Ann Wallace and her husband Lawrence of Williston; Larry Dunham and his wife Marcia of So. Burlington, Susan Rantanen and her husband John of Rutland; Leo Laitres and his wife Mary of Brattleboro and Raymond Birt and his wife Edie of Arlington, MA. Jenn is also survived by many cousins including Jeff Wallace and Kelly Wallace.
Jenn and her family greatly appreciate the support and friendship of her church family.
A memorial service in celebration of Jenn's life will be celebrated at Living Hope Christian Church, 1037 So. Brownell Road, Williston, VT on Saturday, August 15 at 10:30 AM, with a reception to follow. A private family interment will follow.
