It is with great sadness that the family of Joshua James Farrell, of Burlington, VT, announces his peaceful passing after a brief illness, on Monday, November 26, 2018, at the age of 40 years. Joshua will be lovingly remembered by his father John Farrell of Burlington, VT; his mother Mary (Danksewicz) O’Donnell and husband Kevin O’Donnell Sr. of Berlin, VT; daughter Kate Tamburo of Murfreesboro, TN; sister Angela (Danksewicz) Odell of Charlotte, NC; step-brother Kevin O’Donnell Jr. and wife Kelsey, of Sutton, VT. Joshua will also be fondly remembered by his uncles: Dan Farrell, Cubby Farrell and Richard Roberts; by his aunts: Kathleen Talbot, Beatrice (Danksewicz) Harris, Linda (White) Alderman, and Terrie Therrien; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Joshua was predeceased by his grandparents: Harold “Bear” Farrell; Francis and Catherine (Farrell) Roberts, Clement and Shirley (Danksewicz) Therrien; uncles: Dale Alderman, Tom Farrell; and cousin Randy White.
Joshua loved having special time with his dad. He enjoyed helping others, nature, riding his bike, and meeting with friends. As a young boy he enjoyed playing baseball and ice skating. Joshua also had a very special place in his heart for animals.
A Memorial/Visiting Service, in memory of Joshua will be held on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at 1 p.m., at the Stephen C. Gregory and Sons Cremation Services, 472 Meadowland Dr., South Burlington, VT, with Pastor Jeff White officiating. A gathering of family and friends in remembrance of Joshua will follow. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make donations to the local American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
