Harriet Tamini, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Birchwood Terrace, in Burlington, Vermont.
Harriet (Shapiro) Tamini grew up in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated West Philadelphia High School, class of 1950.
She moved to Houston, Texas in 1978 where she was a successful executive accounting office manager for a few companies, OPI offshore oil company being her last until retiring.
After retiring, Harriet moved to Hamden, Connecticut 2001 to be with her grandsons, who she adored and spoiled to death! She followed them to Burlington in 2012.
In June of 2017 she moved to The Residence of Quarry Hill, Reflections Memory Care. The family would like to thank the Executive Director, Adam Lawrence and his remarkable staff for the utmost care and support. In October of 2018 Harriet moved to Birchwood Terrace, where she stayed until her passing. The family would like to thank the Executive Director Alecia DiMario, Nurse Manager, in A Wing, Rachel Beauchemin and her remarkable staff for their utmost loving care and support. The family would like to thank the incredible support and care from the VNA Hospice.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smile that could light up a room.
Harriet was an avid follower of fashion and an amazing knitter. She loved to read, to travel, fine dining, the arts and music, and socializing with friends. Most of all she loved being with her family, especially her grandsons.
Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherrie and Peter Hiller, grandsons, Benjamin and Samuel Hiller, son and daughter-in-law Paul Forman and Julie Hopkins. She left peacefully and knew she was “Loved to Pieces!”
