Marie (Babe) Fisher Langlois Spaulding, 86, passed away Friday June 21, 2019 at Essex Mansfield Place following a long illness and battle with Dementia. Born on Oct. 9, 1932, Marie was the daughter of the late Arthur J. Fisher and Marie Anna Bourassa. Marie graduated from Nazareth Elementary School and Cathedral High School. Marie was married on June 7, 1952 to Gilbert Langlois and together they had five children. Gilbert passed away in 1985. Marie then later married Wayne Spaulding who also passed away in 2001.
Marie was employed at IBM until her retirement in 1994. Marie enjoyed her weekly gatherings with her siblings and family for breakfast and her daily walks. She would walk in the mall during the winter months and there she made many friends sitting and enjoying coffee after walking. She enjoyed planting her flowers around the pool in the spring and enjoyed seeing her children and grandchildren gather at her house to enjoy the pool in the summer months.
Marie is survived by her sons, David Langlois, Lee and Bonnie Langlois, Stephen Langlois, and her daughter Diane (Langlois) Christiansen.
Her grandchildren: Greg Langlois, Jennifer Langlois, Mallory Langlois, Adam Trahan and Alexis Langlois.
Great Grandchildren: Owen Myers, Zoey Myers, Jaiden Crowley, Olivia Crowley, and Liam Crowley.
Step grandchildren: Jessica Wolf, Jamie Steadman, Daniel Griffin.
Step great grandchildren: Jennifer Steadman, Jane Steadman, James Steadman, Jadyn Steadmen, Rachel Wolf, Mason Wolf, Caleb Griffin, Sydney Griffin and Madison Griffin.
Her brothers, Robert and Jane Fisher, John and Kathy Fisher, David and Claudette Fisher and Richard Fisher. Her sisters Nancy Akey, Katherine and Peter Fisher, Jeanne and Norman Lefebvre, Patricia and William Mahaney and many nieces and nephews.
Marie was predeceased by her parents, infant son Stephen, her brother Joseph Fisher and her sisters Jaqueline Mackenzie, Janice Canole, Mary Lou Messier, and Sandra (Cindy) Lovejoy. Also, both husbands Gilbert Langlois and Wayne Spaulding.
Marie will not only be missed dearly by her family and friends, but also by all the staff at Essex Mansfield Place where she lived the last five years of her life. A special thank you to all who were involved in her daily care at Essex Mansfield Place.
Graveside services with family and friends will be on August 2, 2019 at 10am at New Mount Calvary Cemetery: 76 Plattsburg Ave Burlington, VT 05408.
